North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS), Learn and Earn (LEO) and UNCG iSchool (UNCGi) Online Courses
The purpose of NCVPS is to provide online high school-level courses that students are unable to take at their local school. These courses are typically taken during the school day under the supervision of a school-based facilitator. NCVPS provides courses that augment a student's local school's program of study and are taught by highly qualified teachers. Most of the NCVPS teachers are also North Carolina licensed.
The LEO initiative allows students in grades 9-12 to enroll in college-level courses through the North Carolina Community College system. Forty-five community colleges within the state participate in this program.
The UNCG iSchool affords students in grades 11 and 12 the opportunity to take college-level courses through the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Once the online course is completed, the student receives credit on his/her school transcript. Students interested in NCVPS, LEO, and/or UNCG iSchool must meet all eligibility requirements and obtain administrative approval. Please access further information through the following websites.
